Bio:

Norman began his martial arts training at the age of 10. He studied Chinese Kenpo from 1970 to 1978 in San Francisco and later studied Tae Kwon Do and fencing while attending the University of California at Berkeley. He and Michael met in the 1970’s and became ongoing sparring partners outside of their own classes. In 1985, Norman received an introduction to Sifu Brendan Lai of the Northern Praying Mantis system through Michael. Norman continued as a student under Sifu Lai until his passing in 2002. Norman places strong emphasis on practical application of the techniques and theory of the Northern Praying Mantis System. Norman received authorization to teach from Sifu Lai.
